Great game! My husband and I play this game with my sister and her husband. This is a good game to tell who the sore losers are. we have a ball everytime we play. It gets your addrenaline going. --Lora from Ohio
great game but different from the old board game The electronic version is still a great party game but is less versatile and lacks the elements of the board game. The electronic game only lasts for 1 minute intervals and the board game can last 1 or 2 minutes. The sound of the manual device being slapped is another missing element that makes Catch Phrase. Overall, the electronic version is still fun but if you can get the out of print board game, [internet auctions still have it]get it! --david from hendersonville,nc
I've never laughed so hard!!! This game was awesome! Of course we had a few drinks, but it made it even funnier! This game is great for adult get togethers...single or married! --Monica from Tx
An average game that lacks a decent word library There are two problems with this game. First, the category division is questionable. For example, words like "attic" came up in the geography section. How is that possibly related to geography?!!! Second, after only two to three hours of playing, the words began to repeat. Whether this is a function of the randomizer function or lack of memory, we decided to throw this game aside and play another one. In this age of electronic advances and cheap memory, this game is average at best. Spend your money elsewhere. --Erik from Missouri
THIS IS THE GREATEST GAME EVER!!! I love this game and so does everyone I have ever played it with (and that is a lot of people) I bring it lots of places and it is great! A must have for any kind of youth leader (i.e.scouts, church, etc...) It is a great ice breaker and if the kids are younger, let them skip the words they don't know. --adriane from durham
This is an adrenaline rush game..., This game is fantastic, my whole family, plus friends played this over the holidays. We played for hours, men against women of course. It is fast and furious! Love it! I would recommend this to everyone. For all ages from at least 14yr. and up! --Angie from Ohio
Not as good as the original version I loved the original version of Catch Phrase, but the electronic version is so loud and annoying that no one wants to play it! I wish they would make the old one again. --Marie from Chicago
Great party game I first played this game in the "manual" version. While there is some pleasure to be derived from banging on the side of the "phrase oval," it’s the addition of automatic scoring and 10,000 different phrases that makes this my pick of the year. Your best strategy is to use the most obvious associations that are in your head, narrow the focus quickly and pass the device! Nothing's more disheartening than having the phrase oval still stuck in your hands after your cohorts guess the answer and the buzzer goes off. To even the playing field for younger kids, let them skip (by pushing the arrow button) the phrases they don't know. --John from AreYouGame.com
Too EASY... get it for your 7 year old. This game is way too easy. The words are more for elementary aged kids-- not 18+! It would be more fun if it was challenging. --Alicia from Houston
awesome game! I have never laughed so hard before! The beeping and explosion make all the difference...you've got to try it! --Kay from PA
This game is awesome... This game is awesome. I played it when I was in a shelter during Hurricane Katrina. This game is so addictive, we had so many people playing it. Everytime my husband and I take it to a friend or family member's house, we play it. When we return to their homes for another visit, they have bought the game and are dying to play. It continues to get passed on from there. --Audrey from Mississippi
fair We enjoyed the game very much for about two times to play it. We were already repeating words. For the price you would think it would last longer. computers surely have come further along than this game produces. --Lisa from pittsburgh
Great for kids and adults Ok this game is great it gets kids thinking and keeps them interested. the one problem i encounter is that it needs to madeinto a junior version. THe categories ten to be to hard for some kids and it would be perfect for kinder thru 4th if there were categories for their age range. --felicia from california
