What a crock
Despite the misleading labeling, this isn't actually a plant. It's just the dead dried remains of a plant with coloring that is activated by water.

very interesting
I have had one for over 2 years, Research shows its a desert plant, And its perfect as a low maintance , for the forgetful gardener.Millions of years ago it was the largest plant on earth (wiki).Good for children as it wakes up really fast!
