Description:
Generations have enjoyed these sliding digits-- and we don't' mean Uncle Louie's double-jointed thumbs! This faithful reproduction of The IMP, introduced in 1933, will take you back to the days when you struggled to slide the numbers into the proper order. Guess what? It's still hard! This version's stainless steel construction and handy carrying case make it a sturdy stand-out. An instruction booklet with over 30 challenges makes it endlessly intriguing. It fits right in your pocket, so take it to board meetings, grandma's house or anywhere else you crave integer amusement! For 1 player.

A 2001 Parents' Choice Silver Award Winner.

It does work backwards......
It does work backwards. I've done it. It just takes forever!!!!!! For some reason your brain doesn't want to think in reverse. :)
--Jen from Tucson, Az

One of my all-time favorites
Joel, it does work backwards when you start with 15 in the upper right hand corner. But, I can't make it work backwards if I start in the upper left. One of those mysteries of life. :-)
--Meg from Connecticut

Endlessley Entertaining
Yes, it can be worked backwards, sideways, upside-down ... what I find particularly intriguing is the number of combinations that are just downright IMPOSSIBLE. Is there a sientific explanation for how such an elastically alterable puzzle can have so many unatainable combinations? Anyway, I can see why people overseas have gone ga-ga for FIFTEEN. I had trouble putting mine down for the first few days I owned it. This is a must-have for that 10-year old whose hairslick grinning chemical engineer of a dad gave him his first pocket protector for Christmas just this past year nerdoid in us all.
--Robert from Boones Mill, VA
