Fantastic Family Fun
All the updates are great. Now the game of LIFE has a millennium of chances to become a millionaire. My Family especially enjoys all the new careers and on the road of LIFE pitfalls. I recommend this to everyone young and old. Fantastic Family Fun.
--Jonelle from Tucson AZ

The game is still not fully revised for this era.
The fact that we now have women who decide to enter a career instead of marriage or a convent and men who chose the priesthood or some alternative life style over a career is still not touched on in the game and it should be.
--Les from PA

Big disappointment
This game was purchased with the expectation that it would be the same as the one that I played with my family about 20 years ago. But everything was just too different: the use of the cards, the addition of the life tiles, the decreased quality in the fake money and spinner just made it too different from the original to be enjoyable. You even got rid of the 'millionaire tycoon' wager at the end of the game. The game should have been marketed as an entirely different game.

It's like a fake Game of Life...
The spinner isn't good at all. The people don't fit in the car and they fall out. You have to put the houses on every time you play. I like the old one better.

maybe if I hadn't played it years ago...
I remembered loving to play the game of Life. When I purchased this game though, I was VERY disappointed. The game went by so much more quickly and there seemed to be so many less decisions to make. It was just one big trip along the board with very little input from the players. The game seems much more geared to much younger players but gets boring for them now too.

Especially since the updating, this is a classic great game. I always win too! Woo hoo! But it is alot of chance. When you're a young girl it's great to go along the path of life with your new kids and you get to name them, lol. And when you play with the guys and whip their behinds, it's all the better!
--Karen from NC, USA

Great game to play with the kids.
My family and I love to play life. It is not only a lot of fun but our sons realize just how expensive some things can be in life. Thank You Milton Bradley for inventing this game to help us show our kids money does not grow on trees. I only wish that the wheel was made better. We have owned 2 Life games and each time the wheel breaks after only a few days.

the game of life could be better and diddn't live up to the hype
Life is to short of a game to play with the family. It does not live up to the hype, and is very limiting. it is a great idea for a game but was pourly made. Some ways to make the game better is to add job promotions, more variaty of jobs and make it longer.

Hoping to share the nostalgia with my kids...but...
This being the 40th Anniversary Edition, I was excited to purchase it to play with my 9 and 6 year olds. I told them it would be fun to see how "Life" as it is for them in the new millenium is different from when I grew up and that this was a fun game when I was little. I was a bit disappointed with the changes and having to figure out how to use the new tiles and cards. I'd love them to bring back the old game..even if they called it the "Nostalgia Edition"...I think it was much more fun and less complicated. Oh, well...
--Nicole from Massachusetts

New version of Life not as fun as the old version ;-(
Just played the new version and there is lots to dislike about it starting with the board. Putting all the buildings, bridges & spinner on it each time is ridiculous plus the spinner does not work about 8 out of 10 times. The older version worked much better plus the parts were on it at all times! Going to college was wasteful too as it didn't make sense having a degree, salary was not as high and no advantage. Also, obtaining children did not really count towards anything either. In the old version it was worth more to have more kids, not in the new version though. Too many cards involved make this game cumbersome, not like the older version, much simpler and easier to play. Looks like we won't be playing this game much anymore, not really sensible or fun. I'd advise anyone to spend their money on better games.
